Which HDTV do you recommend with these preferences? please help!?
My dad is thinking of buying an HDTV in February 2012 since he's getting his taxes. This will be our first HDTV and I would like to choose wisely. My dad is letting me pick the TV since I am the one wanting it. My preferences are that it has GREAT PICTURE, great sound, and pandora radio. I saw Sony HDTV's and they seemed great but I would like to know if there are better ones than sony. The budget is about 1,000 for the tv since we also want to buy some speakers( a speaker suggestion would also be apprecisted) and other accesories. Is buying a good 5.1 Surround sound speaker system worth it ($418)?
I want to buy Onkyo SKS-HT648 which is priced at $418. Is it worth it? I want to connect it with my PC to watch HD movies and listen to music.

Why does my Zelda twilight princess game look SO bad on my new TV?
I used to play it on an old box TV and it looked fine, it was just small. But when I play the game on my new Sony HDTV 32", it looks down right HORRIBLE. The graphics are not crisp or sharp at all. Everything else looks fine, like other games and movies and shows. But THIS game looks awful. Is this game not able to handle higher end TVs or something?
The Xbox 360 analog sticks lag on screen, why?

I got an xbox 360 (the older version not elite) and I played left4dead2 for a while and everything ran smooth but then i got a flat sony tv, i plugged in the xbox and turned it into HDTV and it looks great and it also runs smooth but for some reason the analog sticks lag for like 3 seconds and makes it really hard to play first shooter games :\
I try different things, like the controllers but both of my controllers do the same, i even try maybe updating the xbox but nothing. is it maybe the tv? cause i used to play with a fat old tv and thats when the aiming was good but now it sucks and i dont know why! im sure its not the controllers or the game because i try halo and other games and they all lag when it comes to aiming but the buttons dont lag.

PC games won't allow higher resolutions on my TV?
I have a large Sony Trinitron HDTV that does 720p and 1080i and I just recently connected it to my PC and it works fine at both of those resolution untill I try to go into a game! Every game I've tried only allows 640x480, 720x480 or 848x480. Even when I play games windowed, it still only allows those small resolutions so I'm stuck with a tiny 480 sized window of the game on my big screen that is displaying at 1280x720(or 1080i). I've also tried changing the resolution in the games ini file but when I start it up, it just forces itself back to 480.
Windows recognizes all of the TV's resolutions fine and dandy, it's only when I load up a game that they just simply won't go let me change it any higher than 480. I've tried dual screening with a 2nd monitor and single screening it with just the TV. It works fine on monitors, just not my Sony TV when it is set as the primary screen, I've tried multiple games and updating drivers and I have had no luck...my current setup is..

It's connected via a DVI to HDMI cable.
I know my system is pretty old, but I'm pretty sure it can't be the graphics card since it allows me to turn up the resolution to 1920x1080 and waaay beyond on 3 different monitors I have tested with in and out of games, and like I said WindowsXP allows me to set the resolution to 1280x720 or 1920x1080 on my TV and I can use that just fine for web browsing, watching movies etc, but it's ONLY when I try to play a game that it shrinks down to 480 and won't allow anything higher.
I have it set right now to 1920x1080 on my Sony TrinitronHDTV and it looks amazing, but when I start any game I mentioned earlier, the game window is just a tiny 480 window on my large 1080 background. I can see the rest of my background fine and move the game window around all over, but the game settings won't allow me to up the resolution to cover more of the screen. Same deal if I fullscreen the game, it just auto switches to a 480 resolution an
