T-Mobile $30 Monthly 4G question?
hey guys, currently I have virgin mobile and i got to keep my $25 a month data/text plan, but i find my self reaching my data cap (2.5GB) after half a month and I get throttled after that. I was able to deal with the old slow speeds of VM but after the data cap I find it too slow to continue with my VM service.
T-Mobile 4G came to my town a around the middle of last year, and as its the next affordable plan ($30) with a 5GB data cap, I figured I'd try it out.
Now onto my question, The $30 a month plan with unlimited text, 5GB data cap (after which I'll be throttled), and 100 minutes is a web exclusive and also available at Walmart. I am not quite sure what that means, do they mean you can buy any phone and activate it on t-mobile.com or do you have to buy the phone from the T-Mobile website or walmart to get that plan.
Amazon sells the Samsung Exhibit II 4G for $130 less than the T-Mo site. If I get it at Best Buy I can save even more Because I have a phone with a Best Buy warranty and I have a dead USB cable (they are dumb and if you say it doesnt work they will try your cable and not theirs, got a free replacement once that way although my phone was slightly defective anyway), so I could have $130 credited to a new phone assuming it works.
If I can get the $30 a month plan that way then I will, even if I have to pay the full price for the phone its still worth it for faster data, a better phone and a higher data cap.
my Optimus V is getting pretty dated in terms of hardware, screen size, speed, etc
How do you feel about Mayor Bloomberg threatning to veto the "Living Wage Act"?
Let's look at the facts...Bloomberg is a billionaire. He shouldn't even be allowed to be in office if it was up to me. There is no way he can fairly represent all people of all walks of life fairly. Anywho, I digress.
So my point is, how do you feel about a billionaire threatening to veto a bill that would increase minimum wage by $3.00 for a limited amount of employees? I mean seriously? It's not even his money. So let's review the facts.
All companies making over a million in city subsidies. These are companies that already make huge profits but get additional "free" money just for hiring minorities and and other mandatory requirements.
So let's say I make $10 an hour. I work 40 hours per week, that's $19,200 annually.
I will show you how living off of $10 an hour is literally impossible after taxes. Yet he wants to veto the bill so his rich friends can continue turning profits while he gains their favor.
Cell phone bill $80 per month 960 per year
Laundry $600 per year ($50 /month)
Rent (for most NYorkers is an average of) $800 per month $9,600+ per year
Transportation (metro card $104 for unlimited) $1,240 per year
Groceries (single person $250 a month) $3,000 per year
NY state tax $1,000 per year
IRS taxes for a total income of $19,200 (taxed @ 15%) is $2,880 leaving you $16,320.
Utilities (cable, electric, Internet roughly $300 per month) $3,600 annually
Add that all up...that's pretty much all of someone annual income
if not more. I didn't even include car insurance, car notes, and other life necessities or going out. I just listed the basics. So how can someone live off of $10 an hour or even worse, minimum wage? Yet this pompous rich guy wants to veto a bill giving an additional $3.00 to employees. Plus it's free money that it would be cutting into, not company profits.
Please tell me how you feel about this...
Oh yeah...just to add insult to injury...Most employees who make minimum wage or around this amount do not work 40 hours per week. If they did, the company would be forced to provid some type of benefits and medical plan for the employees, which lets face it. They barely pay their employees minimum wage, why would they want to pay for their employees medical needs or give them any type of benefits.

Can I transfer my iTunes library from PC to PC using a USB to USB cable?

Wired Connection + Internet Connection Sharing + OpenVPN?
I have a 3G mobile internet connection on my laptop(Win XP SP3) and I use OpenVPN(HotSpot Shield) on it for some hacking(unlimited free internet) purposes. I want to share the internet to my PS3 using direct LAN cable(PS3 to laptop). I already enabled ICS on my 3G connection and established a connection on my PS3. However, my PS3 says that there is no internet connection. I think that my PS3 only "receives" the "clean 3G connection" and not the service provided by the OpenVPN, that's why the hack does not work. What do you think?
