Can I connect RCA speakers and subwoofer to Sony blu ray player?
I have a vizio HDTV and a Sony blu ray player, I found the RCA speakers and subwoofer with speaker wires(only) at a good price. I dont know much about electronics but will I be able to somehow hook all this up with what I have? If so, can someone send me a link or tell me how?
Windows 7 zoomed in while connected to HDTV?
I'm trying to use a (Windows 7) home theater PC hooked up to an older RCA projection TV. The TV doesn't have HDMI input, so I'm using an HDMI to DVI cable for picture.
My problem is that Windows 7 is zoomed in and I cannot even see the task bar at the bottom of the screen. I actually thought this could be corrected by changing the screen resolution in Windows, but the option is grayed out. Is there some sort of "fit to screen" setting in Windows 7 or anything that you can think of? The best thing I could do was put the task bar on the side and move the picture horizontally in the TV settings, but that still causes problems by cutting off the side when maximizing pages. Any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

My HDTV doesn't have a RGB port.?
i was wondering since my hdtv doesn't have a RGB port only HDMI, scart , vga and RCA port, I was wondering is it possible to get a scart to rgb adapter and use that for a game capture device? As you need to have a RGB port and as i don't have one would that be a solution?
Stereo RCA Cable Connector?
I am trying to connect my receiver to my HDTV. There are two types of output: RCA (red and white) and a optical digital output. I don't have a connector for the digital output so that leaves me with the RCA connector. The problem is that I only have a "high quality" component cable (red, blue, and green) without the red and white cables for audio. Can I use it until I get a better connector or will it degrade audio quality?
What is the best cord for my media player?
I have a media player that has a HDTV out and it comes with 2 cables one is a 3.5mm plug on one end and the component red, blue, green on the other. The second cable is the 3.5mm plug on one side and the red/white RCA on the other. The red/white get plugged into the headphone port. The component for the HDTV port.
My question is I'm leaving for vacation in a few weeks and the place we are staying has a older style TV so I'm guessing it doesn't have component inputs. What type of cable or adapter would work best to go from the HDTV port to just the yellow RCA. I found an adapter that down scaled the signal but it was $50 and seemed a bit over kill.
This is going to be for my kids to watch some of their movies at night so not looking to break the bank.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
The manual only shows how to connect to component and not RCA
How can I connect my tv to my wireless network if I don't have an ethernet port on the back of my newer hdtv?
I just bought a newer 19" television for my bedroom and would like to connect it to the internet wirelessly through my wireless router. I see many products out there with a simple ethernet connection, however, I do NOT have an ethernet port on the back of my tv. Is there another kind of adapter out there that I am just not finding on online that still would accomplish my goal of using my tv to connect to the internet through my wireless router without all the cords? I have the following port options on my tv: one that looks like a printer port, one that looks like a usb port but much wider and then the plug ports for what I think to be RCA cords. As you can tell I have no clue the name for each of these ports so please excuse my intelligence level on this matter. Thank you for your help in advance!!

I was hoping if I could use a RCA to HDMI converter. Can I get an HD result? The HD cable is too expensive!
3.5mm Fixed Audio Out jack to Soundbar with RCA cable inputs Question?
OK, I'm a total beginner with home audio. I'm not trying to do anything fancy, don't need surround sound, I just need to be able to hear. So I have a Toshiba 46SL417U HDTV and a cheap-o Wal-mart soundbar (sigh). I know the soundbar sucks, but please try to overlook that in your answers. =). The TV has a "Fixed Audio Out" 3.5 mm jack, and I just ordered a cable on Amazon to plug into that jack with the other side having a red and white rca cable which can plug in to my Soundbar.
QUESTION- Will audio come through the soundbar no matter the input? For example, will it work when I am watching over the air TV, playing my games, or when watching a movie on my Blu-Ray player? Also, will the sound come through both the TV speakers and the Soundbar, or will it only come through the Soundbar?
On a less important note, the off brand sound bar isn't listed in my tv manual as a speaker brand that can be coded in to the TV remote. Any chance that the soundbar will still increase volume when I turn the TV volume up?
Or is what I'm asking only possible with a receiver?
Thanks!
