installing amp in a 04 civic?
I already ran the rca cables from the hu to the amp, but am having trouble finding a spot in the firewall for the 4 gauge wire. I noticed spots on each side of the car about 6" down. It does not look like there is room for the wire to fit. Do I have to cut the rubber to make it fit?
Can I run the remote wire along the same side as the power?
Xbox 360 S HD problem?
I'm trying to get HD on my new Xbox 360 S. First I tried the HDMI cable on my RCA 22" TV (it's HD) and it didn't work. So then I dug up the old AV Composite cable from my old Xbox 360 (the one with the switch to choose between TV and HDTV) and it worked but it's black and white and the screen is double. It says I was playing in HD but how do I fix this? Where do I plug the wires in to?
Why is the screen on my Sanyo DP46142 only displaying in black and white?
I just bought my TV this week and I tried hooking my Wii to it using component video cables. The screen will only show images in black and white with the component cables but if I use the RCA cables everything shows up fine. How do I get it to display in color with the component cables?
A question about my RCA tv?
I bought a used RCA television yesterday. It is model number F38310. When I got home, I noticed it has a little logo on the top right side of the cabinet. It say's Direct TV. I have tried just about every number I could find online to get help, but when I type in the model number, it say's it is not recognized. The problem I'm asking about is: Can this tv be used with DISH, not Direct TV? If so, how do I make it work. Please when you answer, make it simple stupid as I am not too up on electronics jargon.

Very technical question about HDTV and such (only for people who know what they're talking about)?
Okay, so yesterday I was playing Minecraft on the Xbox and me and my sister wanted to play split screen. It said that I need a HDTV to play split screen. I have a RCA 22" HDTV (it even says HDTV in the corner of it xD). So I tried to unplug the AV cables from the Xbox and put in a HDMI cable and that didn't work for some reason. So I went to my cable box and saw, all this time I was using the TV with non-HD XD There's 2 yellow, 2 red, and 2 white AV cables and they were plugged into the back of the cable box (Scientific Atlanta 4250HD). I unplugged them all then tinkered with teh HDMI cable (it still didn't work) so after giving up, I see that now my TV is in black and white! I try to put the cables back in but I can never find the right order. The audio is working fine but the video is in black and white no matter what I do!
Can I record Xbox 360 gameplay (using DVR with one HDMI Output) with a HDMI Switcher?
My DVR is MediaStation HD DVR. It has only one HDMI Output, Component Video Output, RCA Output and Input.
I tried using the Composite Cable of the Xbox 360 to the RCA Input of the DVR, and the HDMI cable from the DVR to the TV. It worked, I could record but the quality is SO BAD.
So it's Xbox 360 to DVR, and DVR to TV. But the DVR has only one HDMI Output.
And now, can I use a HDMI Switcher to be able to record in HQ? Both Xbox 360 AND DVR to the input of HDMI Switcher and HDMI Switcher Output to the TV? If yes, will there be any quality loss?

ok so im building a home media centre i have my pc
phenom x4 3.8ghz 6gb ram 1gb graphics 1TB HDD
i want to record whats on my tv aswell as use my tv as a computer moniter my tv only has RCA connections and scart connections
from what i have researched i can use this setup
tv out RCA yellow to tv card <- this for using tv as a moniter
3.5mm jack from tv-out to sound card input <-- sends sound from tv to computer
surround sound connected to sound card output <-- SRS audio sandbox use to output the audio from the tv to the speakers
USB to RCA Video Capture Device <--for capturing and recording whatever is currently on the tv
I will also probably incorporate a TV Freeview box into this
Just wanting to make sure im using the right parts for the job
i have also seend a VGA to tv converter i may use depending on which is best.
