Recent Samsung HDTV Discussions:

What kind of setting can i run Crysis on with these specs?

-GTX 260 -Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.00GHz -2 Gig's of RAM -46" Samsung HDTV @ either 1920x1080 or 1768x992 (1920x1080 usually scales bigger than the screen depending on the game) -Win7 Ultimate 32-Bit what are the optimal settings i can play this game at? i prefer to modify the setting's manually because you can usually bump the setting's up a bit more after using the "optimal settings" configurer. i am willing to play at the minimum ammout of FPS playable (around 25-30 i think it is) -and without any lags. list all of the settings and the setting i can play it at (i.e AA: 2x) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated! (:

Is the company Hannspree any good?

in particular there Flat Panel, LCD HDTVs. I've seen the brand name before, but how do they stack up against the more well known companies like Samsung, Sony, LG and the like. Equally as good, better or inferior. I currently have a Samsung HDTV, looking to get a bigger one in the next 2 weeks, either a 37" or 40".

can i use RWY cables for an RGB component?

hi. i don't know if anyone can help me, but i am trying to hock up a PS2. however, my problem is that in the setup menu of my PlayStation 2, it wants me to pick either the RGB or the Y Cb/Pb Cr/Pr cable option. currently, i am using a RWY cable that came with the PS2 but it results in the TV having a dark picture that is diffacult for me to see. also if it helps, my TV is a Samsung HDTV and i read somewhere that you cannot use a RWY for RGB on an HDTV. is there a way that i can get the RWY cable to not give me a dark picture, or will i have to buy the new cable? !!!any help will be greatly appreciated!!!

i just moved my samsung hdtv from upstairs to downstairs. now i can't get a signal using my cable cord?

for 2 years i had my tv upstairs using a old cable cord to get a signal for local tv stations. the upstairs room used to have comcast cable but we got it turned off. but now i just moved my television downstairs and the cable cord doesn't give me any tv stations. one thing i noticed is that comcast cable was never installed down here so im wondering what kind of antenna do i need to get local channels?

HD TV and games help?

Not so long ago I bought a Samsung HDTV of 42 inches and my games looks awful in it. TV shows and everything else looks fine except for my games. I have a PS3 and a Wii and both look so bad. Like pixels and blurry. Once I tried playing Sonic Mega Collection on my Wii and everything looks so darn pixelated and when Sonic moves the background looks blurry. The PS3 games looks blocky and its annoying me. I have a HD cable for the PS3 but the Wii is plugged in normally Is there anyway I can fix this? I was reading you can set the level of HD on your tv but I dont know how to do this..

Sony vs. Samsung 3D TV?

I'm looking for the best 3D TV and I'm not sure which brand (Sony or Samsung) is better in this aspect. But, I also want the TV to have great picture quality, a sharp, clear image, and have LED/LCD. Here are the two that I am looking at: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Sony+-+40%22+Class+/+LED+/+1080p+/+120Hz+/+3D+/+HDTV/2072119.p?skuId=2072119&id=1218308263016#tabbed-customerreviews and http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Samsung+-+40%22+Class+/+LED+/+1080p+/+240Hz+/+3D+/+HDTV/9783551.p?skuId=9783551&id=1218173773356 I don't see much of a difference between the two TV's. and I don't know much about television buying either. Any advice/help given would be great! To clarify, I'll mostly be using this as a 2d TV. So, I would also like to know how the two TVs compare in that aspect as well.

Im trying to replace my remote for this tv?

http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-LNT3253H-32-Inch-LCD-HDTV/dp/B000N50S3Q Problem is, the greedy bastards want $50 for it. Are there any cheaper remotes I can buy that would also work with it?

Which one is better? Onkyo HT-S3400 or SONY HT-SS380?

I am planning to buy a 5.1 Channel home theatre for my small living room. I can't decide which one to buy. If anybody has any expertise on these sound systems please help me. I am looking for something that sounds very good and not very expensive. Reason why I am looking for one of these two is that they both are 3D compatible. I have a 40-inch Samsung HDTV and Samsung blu-ray player with 5.1 digital audio out. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
