New Samsung Television?
Hello,
I just bought a samsung led tv (UN32D4000). Would anyone know why it does not see my (old) dvd player, even though it has component-out? (The tv is OK with my PVR via component-out, so I know that the cables are good. DVD worked on old tube tv). Also, my (really old) VCR is not shown when plugged via the cable out. I was always under the impression that if you had matching ins-outs, it should work. I'm kind of mad, since I verified that I should be able to hook up my older electronics to this newer tv before I bought it...unless I'm doing something wrong. Any Ideas?

Hi, thanks for the answer...but switching the source inputs doesn't work = the tv doesn't 'see' the inputs, regardless of switching back and forth, etc. It just claims to have nothing plugged in to any input.
Samsung LED 46" SMART TV?? Cant find korean language?
Hi, my family recently bought a new Samsung LED smart tv. However, because my parents are korean, they are unfamiliar with english. So i tried to set the language to Korean in the settings but i couldnt find the language. I could not understand it.
Furthermore, when i play movies ( from usb ) that have korean subtitles, they are all these funny symbols.
Can anyone please help??

Grumpy Mac, i just read your post, but i had a smaller samsung television before this one, and that one had comedy central, the only thing i did was un plugging the cable from that one into the new one, and power it on.

my samsung 55" LED keeps turning off and back on while playing any game console?
i just recently bought a 55" 6 series LED samsung at bestbuy. and when i play my xbox or ps3 through HDMI the screen will cut out and go black (pretty sure it actually turns off) then goes back to the game about 5-7 seconds later. it will go black then show the samsung welcome logo then go back to my game. it usually happens when my game is loading or between cutscenes or when i play a dvd or bluray it will do it. i actually went to un-pause my game and it did it once also. i called samsung and they didnt know a single thing about what they were talking about.
here is some info.
it is not the HDMI cable because i have tried three of them and i have a $150 monster hdmi cable.
i have tried all of the HDMI ports and they all do it.
the component cables that come with the xbox dont do it only HDMI.
i did a factory reset on the tv and it still does it. any other info needed just ask
BTW a $150 monster cable is not a waste of money HDMI cables have a transfer rate and if the transfer rate of the cable can not keep up with the tv then the quality or refresh rate will not be correct. my tv is 120hz refresh rate and if i have a 10$ cable then it will only come in at 60hz. hdmi cables come in
Also this is not normal because i have a 32" samsung led that does not do this and it should not be doing it in the middle of a game because i have been killed online because of it. my 32" does not do that. so it is not normal. if you not do not have professional or reasonable answer don't answer.

I have multiple vertical lines on my Samsung led tv. What might be causing this? Easy fix?
Problem with Sound Blaster X-Fi SPDIF?
I just bought a X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro sound card and i have the following problem. I am trying to connect my PS3 via optical cable to it. I have temporarily (until i move to a new place) everything connected in a 27" Samsung LED TV-monitor. I also have a 2.1 speaker system. I connected the speakers via jack on the SB and the PS3 via optical. The PS3 settings are as as follows and on the other hand the SB settings can't let me change anything on SPDIF tab. I am sending two links. One is a picture of the optical settings of the PS3. I can't change the 2 checked and the rest even if i do doesnt do anything. The second is a pic of the setting of my SB in the SPDIF tab. As you can see even though the cable is connected i cant click on anything.
