led lcd tv temperature/placement question?
I have a vizio 42in led lcd tv wallmounted approximately 4 inches above the dish network box (the dish box sits on top of my dresser 4 inches below tv that is wallmounted) my question is even with the small clearance of the tv and dish box is it ok for it to be this close seeing as how the dish box seems to heat up from time to time, even though the vents to the dish box are on the side of the box id be pretty pissed if the heat were to damage the screen of the tv
Hauppauge HD-PVR "No Signal" help?
I've been looking around and it seems a lot of people have the same problem. I recently bought a Hauppauge 1440 HD-PVR Gaming Edition from Amazon (Amazon was the seller and it was new). I connected everything that needed to be connected and in the end, no luck! I've been playing with an HDMI cable but the HD-PVR only allows component (which is already included). I have it hooked up to my mac using EyeTV and it works perfectly fine, but there's a HUGE lag, so I can't play on my computer.

I double and triple checked everything. I don't know if it's the composite cable (because I've heard that's sometimes the problem) or the TV itself. I doubt it's the TV because it worked when I had the composite and HDMI cables, but for some reason, the component doesn't work. I keep getting a blue screen that says "No Signal!".

Can a 32 in LED Tv have a resolution of 1080p?
I keep hearing that 32 in led TVs can't have a resolution of 1080p and can only have 720p. I am trying to buy a high resolution 32 in tv but I want a higher resolution than just 720p, and it has to be LED 1080p. What do you suggest? Does 1080p really make a difference? I am mostly using the TV for gaming so i want the best resolution possible. Also what is a good TV brand? I was thinking of going for vizio, Samsung, or LG.

my plasma tv wont turn on?
i have a vizio 48in plasma tv that wont turn on. when i power it up it flashes random fuzzy colors. i can see the no signal sign, but then it will show a "going to deep sleep" sign and shuts off. then the led that shows the power blinks orange and green as if the tv were turning on and off. then stops and remains orange. cycle repeats when i try again
having problems with nintendo 64?
well, i decided to go old school and play my n64 today. The problem right now is, i cant seem to get it to work. Let m start by adding some info. First, i recently bought a new Vizio LED edge lit tv. It is 32'' and is 1080p. Love the TV.Second, on my old tv i was using the single cable to hook up my n64. (not sure what its called,cant remember at the moment) and not the AV cords( which are the red white and yellow hookups). This method worked fine on my previous vizio, so i assumed it would work for this new one. Anyway, i got the n64 and hooked everything up accordingly and placed a game in the slot. I flipped the power on and the red light comes on, but it is strangely quiet. i flipped through various settings and channels on my n64 and still nothing. Not sure if it was broken, i decided to try the AV cords. After hooking them up and setting my tv to the AV input, still nothing, Being that the system is so quiet, i assumed it may have crashed, but i dont recall if it ever made any noise at all. Does anyone have any ideas on what could be wrong? Is the system finally dead? Or perhaps i am not using the correct setting/input or cord? any feedback is greatly appreciated. :)
